Seona Myerscough

Consultant Solicitor

Seona Myerscough qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, with a particular focus on matters involving children in both public and private law proceedings.

She represents parents in care proceedings and advises clients in private children disputes. She also undertakes a broad range of family work, including divorce, separation and financial settlement.

Seona was previously a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and has acted for children and young people, bringing valuable perspective to her work with families.

She has a longstanding background in mediation and collaborative law, having trained with Resolution and the Family Mediators Association (FMA), and supports a constructive approach to resolving disputes wherever possible. She recognises, however, that court proceedings are sometimes necessary.

Seona is known for her pragmatic, direct and child-focused approach. She works closely with clients to achieve practical and proportionate outcomes, helping them understand both the legal process and the practical consequences of the choices they face. She is particularly experienced in working with vulnerable clients and supporting them to engage confidently with the process.

Following many years as an equity partner and Head of Family Department at a leading West Berkshire practice, Seona now works as a consultant, offering a flexible and bespoke service, including unbundled support where appropriate. Outside of work, Seona has an interest in the arts.
