Coronavirus update

Boardman, Hawkins & Osborne LLP

As a firm we are continually monitoring the coronavirus outbreak, and considering what contingency measures we may need to put in place should the situation escalate. We obviously hope that such measures will not prove necessary. However, we are determined to do all we can to try to ensure a continuous service to all of our clients with their welfare, and that of our solicitors and staff, at the forefront of our minds.

Hand sanitiser, cleaning wipes, handwashing facilities and soap are available in all the relevant areas of the office.

However, we would ask you to consider whether a personal visit to our office is now absolutely necessary, and to contact us by telephone or email us, rather than just turn up.

If you have any symptoms, or have recently been in contact with anyone who has, or been to one of the countries identified as a Category 1 or Category2 country, please do not attend us in person, and follow the advice from NHS online and 111.

In addition we have now put in place a number of measures in case they become needed in the coming weeks. These are as follows:

  • All our solicitors and staff are able to work remotely
  • We were already working largely ‘paperless’ which means that we are well prepared for the current difficulties, and can already access case information and documents remotely.
  • Appointments may be held via telephone, Skype or email.
  • Our operating systems can all be accessed remotely, including our administration and telephone system

By putting in place these contingency measures we intend to continue offering as normal a service as possible throughout the duration of this unprecedented epidemic; and by working together we are confident we can find solutions to any problems arising, thereby reducing as far as possible any impact on our professional and lay clients and minimising risks to health.

Please stay safe and well.

Emily, Ruth and Irena.
